MINUTES OF THE MEETING WEDNESDAY, 22nd May 2019 AT RANTON VILLAGE HALL

Minutes of April 18th2019 were agreed as a true record.

18/13 Questions from the public

None were in attendance

19/14Finance matters

There have been continuous problems with Nat West Bank and a new form has to be completed to action correct change of address and signatories for the account. A new cheque book cannot be issued until the correct address is added onto the account.

19/15 Accounts to date: It has not been possible to provide a breakdown of the statement as the bank would not issue a statement Cllr Russell was able to pass on a 6-month statement, however a full annual one is needed for accounting purposes.

19/16 Reports:

Mowing:The village is being mown, and it appears the verge opposite Church Close is still being left.

Highways:Brook Lane near Halfway House there is a pothole in the road. Residents have been advised to complain directly to the council. Jobs have been logged and reported as repaired, however, this will need keeping an eye on in future weather.

Footpaths:Nothing further to report. No complaints from the public.

Gulleys and weeding: Nothing further to report. Cllr Winnington explained that there is £20,000 per county councillor to be spent on roads and gulley emptying would be a priority. Each parish needs to bring the issue forward so that it can be done as efficiently as possible.

Action: Parish clerk to email Mark Keeling at SBCC (cc Winnington) to confirm arrangements for gulley emptying.

19/17 Clerk's report

The parish clerk will email necessary forms to the successful parish councillors for completion.

An annual renewal quote has been received from Zurich insurance for £255.79.

19/18 Planning updates

19/30424/FUL The Boroughs, Long Compton Lane, Ranton. Proposed change of use of former outbuilding to dwelling. There were no issues with the application as nearby properties are workshops.

19/19 Chairman's questions/items for information/next agenda
