18/126 Finance matters

The forthcoming year's budget was presented to councillors. It was agreed to:

Set miscellaneous amount to £100; Trees to £250 and gulleys £550 and website £50 to be added.

Grass cutting

A quote for grass cutting the whole of Ranton village has been received to include weeding and grass cutting throughout the village at an annual cost of £2,174.00.

The forthcoming year's budget will be agreed next month and finalised.

Fencing (bollards) will be paid in this tax year so will not be carried forwards to the next financial year, so this amount will be removed.

Councillors signed cheques for the Christmas tree (£230) and for the bollards (1682.72) as these were lost in the post and have been cancelled with the bank.

Civic amenity dates have been sent awaiting for confirmation of dates which will be posted on the website.

The process for reclaiming VAT has to be completed online, and the process for this has begun. Once completed, forms need to be printed and signed by councillors before being submitted by post as this is a first online application.

The meeting concluded early as Cllr Edwards left and the meeting was no longer quorate.
